ScrollShot Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This policy describes how ScrollShot by GOHTF handles information when the Chrome extension and website are used.
1. Screenshot and website content
ScrollShot processes user-selected screenshots and visible website content locally in the browser to provide capture, stitching, preview, editing, clipboard, image, print and PDF functions. Screenshot content is not uploaded to GOHTF servers by the extension.
2. Local browser storage
The extension uses browser storage for capture tiles, preview data, annotations, preferences and temporary error information. Starting a new capture may replace earlier temporary capture data.
3. Permissions
ScrollShot uses browser permissions only to provide user-initiated capture, editing, downloads, tab access, local storage and high-resolution capture. The debugger connection is temporary, applies to the active tab during capture and is detached after capture or error handling.
4. Accounts and subscriptions
The currently published pre-subscription build does not require a ScrollShot account and does not process payments. If subscriptions are introduced, this policy will be updated before account or payment processing is enabled.
5. Data sharing and sale
GOHTF does not sell screenshot content, browsing activity or personal data. ScrollShot does not use screenshot content for advertising, profiling or credit decisions.
6. Retention and deletion
Local capture data remains in the browser until replaced, cleared or the extension is removed. Users may clear extension storage through Chrome or uninstall the extension.
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used. No storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
9. Changes
Material changes will be reflected through an updated date and, where appropriate, a notice in the website or extension.
